Belarusian alt-process artist-photographer, conceptualist, and professor of graphic design Anna Melnikova gives us "The Corridor of Eclipses."  Very few experimenters have plumbed the mysteries of the mordançage technique and even fewer have created so many successful images using the stubborn and dangerous technique. Mordançage's overlapped veils are an ideal fit for her atmospheric, darkly surreal abstractions. While other alt-photographers focus primarily on craft, Anna Melnikova combines technical perfection and brilliant ideas to create visual poetry.
